Spain based giant bank BBVA has announced that Bitcoin (BTC) trading will be launched for its private customers in its Switzerland location.
In a press release issued by BBVA, it was reported that all private customers in Switzerland will now benefit from the cryptocurrency trading and custody service.

BBVA Switzerland will now offer Bitcoin (BTC) trading services to its private customers with the end of the 6-month pilot operations. While it is announced that the new crypto money service will be activated on June 21, the giant bank will have stepped into the crypto money sector. BBVA’s new service will cover the trading and custody of cryptocurrencies to private clients.
The new step of BBVA, which was recorded as a very important development for the crypto money industry, came after the completion of the 6-month test procedures. Although the giant bank only activates Bitcoin transactions to begin with, it is expected to offer this service in other cryptocurrencies in the coming periods.
All Bitcoin Transactions Will Be Integrated into the Mobile Application
In the statement of BBVA officials, the company’s new step is described as “a move to diversify the portfolios of customers”. It was stated that the trading and custody services of the leading crypto money will also be integrated into the mobile application of the bank. Bitcoin (BTC) on BBVA’s mobile app; It can be easily converted to Euro, USD or any other fiat currency. The giant bank’s new service is currently limited to its Swiss location. Switzerland is known as one of the countries where the regulation of cryptocurrencies is carried out with an open policy.
